April 19, 2013

Following the fertilizer plant explosion on April 17, 2013; five volunteers provided 500 meals to those affected, sharing the mercy and message of Jesus Christ.

Moore, Oklahoma

May 26 - 27, 2013

Following the EF-5 tornado that devastated the town on May 20, 2013; 25 volunteers provided 1,250 meals to those affected by the storm. Volunteers also assisted with chainsaw operations and debris cleanup, sharing our Faith, Food, and Love for Christ with those affected by the storm.

Vilonia and Mayflower, Arkansas

May 24 - 26, 2014

After an EF-4 tornado destroyed parts of the towns of Mayflower and Vilonia on April 27, 2014; 31 volunteers served 2,389 meals to those affected by the storm. Volunteers also assisted with chainsaw operations and debris cleanup, sharing the mercy and message of Jesus Christ.

Bridge Creek, Oklahoma

May 23 - 25, 2015

Following the EF-3 tornado that severely impacted the area on May 6, 2015; 35 volunteers provided 820 meals to those affected by the storm. Volunteers also assisted with chainsaw operations, debris cleanup, and distribution of spiritual care kits, sharing our Faith, Food, and Love for Christ with those affected by the storm.

Van, Texas

May 30, 2015

Following the EF-3 tornado that destroyed parts of the town on May 10, 2015; 20 volunteers provided 140 meals to volunteers and those affected by the storm. Volunteers also assisted with chainsaw operations and debris cleanup, sharing the mercy and message of Jesus Christ.

Garland/Rowlett, Texas

January 23, 2016

After an FE-4 tornado tore through the Garland and Rowlett area on the evening of December 26, 2016; 325 volunteers provided 2,350 meals to volunteers and those affected by the storm. Volunteers also served the Garland, Rowlett, and Sunnyvale communities by providing assistance with debris removal, chainsaw work, sharing our Faith, Food, and Love for Christ with those affected by the storm.

Lindale, Texas

May 21, 2016

An EF-2 tornado severely impacted the small community on April 29, 2016; 300 volunteers provided 1,000 meals to those affected by the storm and also assisted with chainsaw operations, debris cleanup, and distribution of 50 spiritual care kits, 33 kitchen kits. Sharing our Faith, Food, and Love for Christ with this small East Texas community.

Bryan, Texas

June 4 - 5, 2016

Regional flooding and an EF-1 tornado impacted parts of the town on May 26, 2016; 60 volunteers provided 921 meals to volunteers and those affected by the storm. Volunteers shared the mercy and message of Jesus Christ.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana

September 22 - 25, 2016

Historic flooding destroyed homes and business as record rain fall was recorded on August 12 and 13, 2016. 42 volunteers provided 6,000 meals to those affected by the flooding. Volunteers also distributed 53 spiritual care kits, 310 kitchen kits, and 5,500 devotionals, sharing our Faith, Food, and Love for Christ with those affected by the flooding.

Canton, Texas

May 20 - 21, 2017

On April 29, 2017, seven tornadoes plowed through Van Zant, Henderson, and Rains County Texas causing a path of destruction nearly 55 miles long and up to one mile wide. The tornadoes caused four deaths, injured 56 people, and damaged or destroyed nearly 2,000 buildings. There were thousands of survivors of the storms that need help! 76 volunteers provided 1,600 meals to those affected by the tornadoes. Volunteers also distributed spiritual care kits, and 200 devotionals, sharing our Faith, Food, and Love for Christ with those affected by the tornadoes.

League City, Texas City, and Galveston, Texas

September 14 - 17, 2017

On August 25-29, 2017, Hurricane Harvey caused massive damage to the coast of southeast Texas, destroying homes and businesses as record rainfall was recorded several days after its landfall. An estimated 70% of Harris County was flooded by at least 1.5 feet of water, flooding over 136,000 structures in Harris County alone. 100 plus volunteers provided 5,600 meals to those affected by the flooding. Volunteers also helped with clean up and rebuilding efforts, sharing our Faith, Food, and Love for Christ with those affected by the hurricane.

Lake Charles, Louisiana

October 17 - 18, 2020

Hurricane Laura came onshore Wednesday, August 26, 2020, as a Category 4 Hurricane. Lake Charles took a direct hit from this high-powered storm causing extensive damage in that area. There were thousands of survivors of the storms that needed help! 31 volunteers provided 3,176 meals to those affected by the hurricane. Volunteers also distributed spiritual care kits, roofing tarps, and cases of water, sharing our Faith, Food, and Love for Christ with those affected by the hurricane.

Metairie, Louisiana

October 8 - 10, 2021

Hurricane Ida was a deadly and destructive Category 4 Atlantic hurricane that became the second-most damaging and intense hurricane to make landfall in the U.S. state of Louisiana on record, behind Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The Holy Cow Smokers Disaster Relief volunteers as well as volunteers from Atonement Lutheran Church and School in Metairie distributed 5,000 hot BBQ meals to people in Metairie, New Orleans, Lafitte, and LaPlace. Of these meals, thousands were distributed to affected families that had no ability to cook since the storm hit August 29.
